- Dictionary
definition for wisdom = Quality or state of being
wise; knowledge of what is true or right coupled with good judgement.
- Wise
= having the power of discerning and judging properly as to what is true
or right - possessing discernment, judgement, or discretion.
- Concordance
definition = to teach, understanding, to
make wise, skillful, to become wise.
NOTE: The Holy Scriptures uses wisdom
to define GOD the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Wisdom is a state of
maturity where the believer knows the will of GOD and does it. The believers
are able to discern truth, having understanding in what is good and evil, able
to make right judgements, testing the spirits or thoughts of the mind, and
having the ability to teach others as a result of growth in grace and knowledge
of the Lord Jesus Christ.
I. There are
two kinds of wisdom from this world, and one kind from heaven.

- What is
the wisdom of this world and / or of men? I Cor. 1:17-21; I Cor. 3:18-20
- What is
the wisdom from Satan the devil or human nature? Jas. 3:14-16; Prov.11:12;12:8
- What is
the wisdom from heaven? Jas. 3:13,17-18; Job 28:28 Ps. 111:10
- Can we
obtain this wisdom from GOD by attending some school of theology?
- Rom.
11:33-36; Prov. 2:6-7,10; Job 33:33; I Cor. 2:6-10
- Is God's
wisdom a free gift to those who ask? Jas. 1:5; 3:15; Job 38:36; Eccl. 2:36
- Do
the wisdom from GOD require old age or is it give to whomever GOD chooses?

- Is this
gift given to the worldly gifted men or wise men of this world? I Cor.

Subject: Part II of Wisdom
II. The Bible describes
those who are wise according to this world's standards as foolish because they
reject the knowledge of GOD and the discipline gives to those whom He love.
Prov. 1:17; Prov. 14:9; Col. 2:23
- Have GOD
made the wisdom of this world foolishness? I Cor. 1:20, 3:19
- Have God
hid his wisdom from the world? Matt. 11:25, 13:14; Luke 10:31
- Why is the
wisdom of this world considered foolish in God's sight? Rom. 1:21:22
- If we rely
on the wisdom of this world for answers, what will become of us? Rom.
1:22-24, Ezek. 28:3-5, Matt. 7:24-27.
- Can the
wise of this world accept the wisdom of GOD? I Cor. 2:14; Why not? I Cor.

- Are the
doctrines and traditions of men also considered false wisdom and humility?

wise in our own eye sight, do we become fools lacking the true wisdom of

- Does pride

NOTE: The foolish
and unwise, those who are wise according to this age seek to do the will of
Satan, and have become fools, rejecting GOD and his correction. Prov. 10:21,
Prov. 24:9, Eph. 5:17, Titus 3:3
