Dear Iqbal,

Your Question(s): Whether any non-Christian will enjoy the eternal life in heaven? Even if he [does] good work in the world.

My Answer(s): Thank you for your questions may our God the Holy Father in heaven blesses you in understanding His Holy Word. Let us understand that the Scriptures do not respect any religion (Christianity, Muslim, Catholicism, Buddhism, Judaism, nor any other human organization called by a religious name).  For the Holy Spirit clearly tells us that “true religion” from God is this: James 1:27 (NIV), "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world". This is the only religion God accepts and wants you to have in this evil and adulterous world. Besides this, God asks us to remember His poor (Gal. 2:10). For “If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?” (1 John 3:17 NIV)? All other religions in this world are man-made, and not from God including those with Christian names.

Yes, Christ speaking to those professing Christians who think they are saved in this present evil age, saying, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord’, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your Name, cast out demons in Your Name, and done many wonders in Your Name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!” (Matthew 7:21-23 NKJV). Notice, what these professing Christians said to Christ Jesus on the Day of Judgment, for this Scripture reveals much about what is important remembering James 1:27 above (see also Matthew 25 and 1 Corinthians 13).

Therefore, it is not wise to think or believe that all who profess/claim to follow the religion of Christianity are being saved, the Holy Spirit clearly shows this not to be true (notice I used the phrase “will be saved” verses in heaven or going to heaven). All the many doctrines of Christianity and the other many religions on this evil and adulterous planet are not from God, but from men who teaches for doctrine the commandments of men. For it is written, “‘These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. 9 They worship Me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules’” (Matthew 15:8-9 NIV, see also Titus 1:15-16 and Isaiah 29:13 where this very state of men was prophesied). Do not be dismayed at these things I say to you, as it is written, “For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God, and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? Now, ‘If the righteous one is scarcely saved, where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?’ Therefore, let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good as to a faithful Creator (1 Peter 4:17-19 NKJV). Remembering to always search the Scriptures (Acts 17:11), rightly dividing the word of God (2 Timothy 2:15).

Now, concerning non-Christians enjoying eternal life, there were many who walked with God prior to those who followed the “Way” (Acts 9:1-2) who were called “Christians” for the first time in Acts 11:26. For Christ Jesus do not teach Christianity, as Christ says, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6 NKJV). The Apostle Paul speaks of persecuting those of the “Way” in Acts 22:3-5. And again, in Acts 24:13-15, the Apostle Paul gives testimony by the Spirit of God, saying, “14 But this I confess to you, that according to the Way which they call a sect, so I worship the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the Law and in the Prophets. 15 I have hope in God, which they themselves also accept, that there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust (Acts 24:14-15 NKJV). Here the Spirit speaks of a “resurrection of the dead, both the just and unjust”. In Revelation 20, the Holy Spirit speaking of the second resurrection says, “11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire” (Rev. 20:11-15 NKJV, see also Matthew 16:26-27). Therefore, we see the Spirit saying here that Christ Jesus will judge those who were “dead, small and great”, and those who were in “Death and Hades”, who did not love others as they loved themselves in this present evil age.

Jesus the Christ tells us in Matthew 12 that “every idle word” of men they shall give an account to Him: Matthew 12:35-37… 35 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. 36 But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. 37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned."

Again, in John 5 Jesus the Son of the Living God tells us that judgment has been given to Him, and “all who are in their graves will hear His voice”. All of these in their graves shall come out to be judged, some who did “good will rise to live”, and some who did “evil will rise to be condemned”: John 5:22, 25-30… “22 Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son… 25 I tell you the truth, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live. 26 For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son to have life in himself. 27 And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man.  28 "Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice 29 and come out—those who have done good will rise to live, and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned. 30 By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me”.

Then in Romans 2, the Holy Spirit tells us that Christ the Son of Man is “Lord of both the dead and the living”, and “we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ”: Romans 14:9-11… “9 For to this end Christ died and rose and lived again, that He might be Lord of both the dead and the living. 10 But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you show contempt for your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. 11 For it is written: "As I live, says the LORD, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God". As you can see, these Scriptures tell us that Christ Jesus will judge everyone. These verses do not say only professing Christians will stand before Christ, but “every knee”, “every tongue”, “all stand before”, and “all in their graves” that have lived in this present evil age shall stand before Christ to be judged by “every idle word” they have made in this present evil age. In Matthew 12:35-37, Jesus tells us we will be justified by our words and condemned by our words. And in Revelation 20:12, the Spirit clearly says, what we do in this present age is being recorded in the books and one is the Book of Life and the others of the books containing the deeds (works) of those who lived during this present evil age. So, I say to you as if you of one who profess to be a Christian continue to fight the good fight, pressing forward and not looking back. For if indeed you have the Spirit of Christ, then you must continue in the faith that you may receive your crown. To those who are given much, much is required. Do not be so quick to condemn others, but seek ways to bring them into the light by your own walk in the “Way” of God and His Christ Jesus (Matthew 5:13-16). This does not mean we can worship God in anyway. For no one can come to Christ Jesus unless, God first calls them (John 6:44).

Finally, I answer your question concerning those who “do good work” in this present evil age without claiming to be a professing Christian as many claims. Yet, their works do not prove what they profess. In Romans 2, the Holy Spirit speaking of God’s righteous judgment says, “God ‘will repay each person according to what they have done.’ 7 To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. 8 But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger. 9 There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile; 10 but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. 11 For God does not show favoritism.  12 All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law. 13 For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous. 14 (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law. 15 They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them.) 16 This will take place on the day when God judges people’s secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares” (Romans 2:6-16 NIV, see also Acts 10:34-36, 1 Corinthians 3:12-14, 1 Timothy 5:24-25 and 6:17-19, Titus 3:7-9). As you can see the Holy Spirit says, when those who are not followers of the “Way” of God and His Christ Jesus “do by nature things required by the law” will be judged by the law written on their hearts which bears witness either accusing or defending them in the Day of Judgment.

Therefore, you see that we all will be judged by the things written in the books, and if you have God’s Holy Spirit in this present evil age and remains faithful until the end of this age then you will take part in the first resurrection, as one of the House of God (1 Peter 4:17-19 and Revelation 20:5-6). But those who are not called in this present evil age will take part in the second resurrection. And as Revelation 20:11-15 explains, those who are in the Book of Life will receive eternal life.

I hope this help to answer your questions and give you a more fuller understanding, for there is much to be said concerning this matter which may be hard to accept and understand given the doctrines of men taught to the masses. But, remember God is a righteous God and His judgment is righteous. Again, I exhort you in the faith of Christ Jesus that you set your mind on the heavenly things above and live a life worthy of your calling by the Living God (Colossians 3:1-3, Philippians 3:12-16; 4:8 and 1 Peter 4:7-10, 17-19), for it is written, “Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years” (Revelation 20:6-7 NKJV). And remember that that Day of His appearing is even closer today than when we first believe. Amen. Praise God.
