Well, let me send you grace and peace to all in Radio land from our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ and our Father in heaven.

[Note: Prayer for those in the world and I pray for your intervention in this so-called sniper killer.]

Once, Again today I return to fear and prayer.

And I must mention here that my heart sorrows and my prayers go up to GOD for the lost of lives in the Dawson family (the mother and 5 children who were burned alive in Baltimore by one of our sick brothers being led astray by the evil one), and the father who’s in the hospital and their extended family that still suffer down here on this dark and evil world. God you have all power I pray that you speed up that Great and Last Day of this evil and adulterous present age, and the coming of the Lord Jesus the Christ.

Today let’s read both

(Matt.24: 6 and Luke 21:9...)  After examining these verses you will see Jesus is speaking of the same events;

Matthew 24
6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet
.

(This to shall pass- it will not continue - GOD will end it for His Elect’s sake)

Luke 21:9

9 But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified; for these things must come to pass first, but the end will not come immediately."

Now, I spoke a little on these words last Wednesday, but I am reminded that the Scripture exhorts us to continue to remind one another...as the Scripture says in:

1 Corinthians 15:1-2;  [let me para-phase]
1 … of the gospel… we received and on which we as Christians have taken our stand. 2 By this gospel we are saved, if we hold firmly to the word of GOD which is Christ Jesus our Savior…Otherwise, we will have believed in vain.

Remembering also what these verses said about this evil world, 2 Tim. 3:2-4... describing these evil times… and this same chapter ends with this:

2 Timothy 3:13
13 while evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.

These verses describe this evil world (as well as those who claim to be Christian – of which I’ll spoke before and will speak again on this subject) quite well...but Christ when He come in all His glory with the holy ones and His angels will He find any faith on this planet? This is question for us Christians…and in this fearful world now how do we remain faithful to our calling? As I said last week…

When evil events come upon us, like this sniper event, we as Christians are just like all other humans. We are in fear or afraid also. But, we as Christians should not be fearful (not having a state of mind of fearfulness). In verse 6 of Matthew 24, “See that you are not troubled”, and in Luke 21:9, “do not be terrified”, the corresponding Gospel to this Scripture, tells us not to be fearful of the events that are coming upon this evil and sinful world, but we should be watchful and mindful, serious in our prayers being a comfort to our children; yet at the same time reassuring them that these things fall upon all who live upon this evil and dying world. But GOD says for us as Christians to know that these things shall past as sure as morning and day follows night (as spoken in Genesis "then it was the evening and the morning") was the ... first day, etc. I know most people think that night follows day...but it don't…Go to Genesis 1 and read the creation story.

…As a great servant of God, Dr Martin Luther King Jr. said in our age that "We have some difficult days ahead...and I don't know what going to happen now...but I just want to do God's will”...we as Christians must decide in our minds that even though we may walk through the valley of death, we will not fear evil, but we shall fear GOD as it says in. (Matt.10: 28).

Matthew 10
28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. (NKJV)

We, as Christians must decide in our mind that we will do God’s will in terrible times, and not become immobilized. Remember the followers of Christ of old; in the midst of the burning of Jerusalem they prevailed in preaching and being an example to those who are perishing in this present age.

Now we can go to Isaiah 35 and Psalm 55 for more comfort Let’s look at a few verses in them:

Isaiah 35:3-4

3 Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way; 4 say to those with fearful hearts, "Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you."(NIV)

I used the “NIV” here because uses the words “divine retribution” rather than the word “recompense” as in the King James. It gives us a better understanding by using these words “Divine Retribution”; than trying to explain old English words of times past.

Strengthen your feeble hands, and steady your knees. I say to you today while it is becoming night, “Be strong, do not fear”, our great and awesome God will come. And He will come to bring “divine retribution” on those who have sown evil deeds. Lord come, come Lord Jesus come. Amen. Praise God.

And again in we see in:

Psalm 55:

“5 Fearfulness and trembling have come upon me, And horror has overwhelmed me”...

And in verses 16-17, the Scripture give us the answer to our fearfulness when we feel like flying away to a place of refuge and safety from this madness. (Remember how Elijah ran out of fear)…but it says in verse 16... “As for me, I will call upon GOD, And the Lord shall save me...verse 17...Evening and morning and at noon, I will pray, and cry aloud, And He shall hear my voice"...Praise GOD for these words.

God is always with us He will not leave us as orphans; do not be overly fearful and terrified of the events of this present age.

Scripture of the week to go and get meaning of is Luke 20:46-47

Remember this my friends that GOD will not forsake us, that He has brought us through some terrible days in the past (slavery, Jim Crow, lynching, assai nations, and the like); He will carry us when we need carrying, and I do not believe He has brought us this for to leave us....  (Sing)  Praise God...Praise God...Praise God.

[Give prayer…Oh heavenly Father I like to call upon your name...]
