“17 Yahweh Tsebaoth says: I’m going to send them wars, famines, and plagues. These people are like rotten figs to me, figs that are so bad that they can’t be eaten. 18 I will chase them with wars, famines, and plagues. I will make them a horrifying sight to all the kingdoms on the earth. They will become something cursed, ridiculed, and hissed at, and they will be a disgrace among all the nations where I scatter them. 19 They didn’t listen to me, declares Yahweh. I sent them my servants the prophets again and again, but they refused to listen, declares Yahweh.“
Jeremiah 29:17-19, Yahweh speaking to our ancestors when He uprooted them out of the Promised land for failing to keep the Old Covenant. -
“64 Then Yahweh will scatter you among all the people of the world, from one end of the earth to the other. There you will serve gods made of wood and stone that neither you nor your ancestors ever knew. 65 Among those nations you will find no peace, no place to call your own. There Yahweh will give you an unsettled mind, failing eyesight, and despair. 66 Your life will always be hanging by a thread. You will live in terror day and night. You will never feel sure of your life. 67 In the morning you’ll say, “If only it were evening!” And in the evening you’ll say, “If only it were morning!” You’ll talk this way because of the things that will terrify you and because of the things you’ll see.“
Deuteronomy 28:64-67, Yahweh speaking to our ancestors when He brought them into the Promised land under the Old Covenant. -
“1 “In those days and at that time, I will bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem. 2 I will gather all the nations. I will bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. I will judge them there. They scattered the Israelites, the people who belong to me, among the nations. They divided my land. 3 They threw dice for my people. They traded boys for prostitutes. They sold girls so that they could buy wine to drink. 4 “Now what do you have against me, Tyre and Sidon and all the regions of Philistia? Are you paying me back for something I have done? If you are paying me back, I will quickly pay you back for what you have done. 5 You took my silver and my gold. You brought my finest treasures to your temples. 6 You sold the people of Judah and Jerusalem to the Greeks. That way you could send them far away from their land. 7 I am going to make them leave the place where you sold them. I will pay you back for what you have done.”
Joel 3:1-7, Yahweh speaking to our kidnappers and us that He will bring us from our captivity among the nations where He have scattered us when He uprooted us out of the Promised land causing our ancestors to be sold to the Greeks. -
“Yahweh spoke his word to Jeremiah. He said, 2 “This is what Yahweh Elohim of Israel says: Write in a book everything that I tell you. 3 The days are coming,” declares Yahweh, “when I will bring my people Israel and Judah back from captivity. I will bring them back to the land that I gave their ancestors, and they will take possession of it.”
Jeremiah 30:1-3, Yahweh have promised in the days coming His inheritance now scattered among the nations who hate them that He will bring His people Israel and Judah back from captivity.
